Proud sons of Penedès, Xavi and Aleix are deeply in love with their homeland—and all the beauty it offers. They actually met at a local winery near their home, accompanied by their beloved dog Kuma. Naturally, that spot was their Plan A for the ceremony. But after a technical visit, we realized the cons outweighed the pros.

Enter: Giró Ribot Winery—a hidden gem just starting to dip its toes into the world of weddings. Their team went above and beyond to make everything easy. The venue’s philosophy, customer service, and layout were everything Xavi and Aleix had hoped for.

A Love for Craftsmanship

Here’s where it gets truly special. Xavi and Aleix share a passion for artisanal carpentry. So how do you make a wedding even more personal? By handcrafting your own furniture. Every weekend for over a year, the couple lovingly restored and repurposed old furniture, creating all the cocktail-hour pieces themselves. The vibe was rustic, warm, and unmistakably theirs—complemented by local flavors, from hand-cut meats to crusty bread and Catalan finger food.

Not a wedding—

Xavi and Aleix didn’t want pomp, frills, or formalities. They wanted a day that felt like home—an authentic, heartfelt gathering with their favorite people. And that’s exactly what it was. Intimate, relaxed, and filled with laughter.

Their motto? “Junts Somiarem Estant Desperts”—“Together, We’ll Dream While Awake.” And that’s exactly what happened on that magical spring day.
